I am so happy because I got bad grades on my progress report and today I am going to all of my teachers to ask them for my make up work. I just got my work from Ms. Humphries and next when Ms. Boero come back I can get my work and I am going to ask Ms Heard Ms Wetzel and everybody else. I'm also excited because today is my last day of school before i go on winter break. And I am so press I get time to really make my work up and then have free time to have fun. When I go home I am going to do my IXL that's something for math and then after finishing that I'm going to do my other work and then have fun I wanted to have a little sleep over my my mom said she couldn't  take all us girls. So I might just find something to do until SUNDAY because it is CHRISTMAS I'm lovin' it.

My name is Jazmin Thurston and I going to share how i feel everyday. on Monday I was feeling jubilant in the morning because "My Other half" Ma'Ketchia came over My house and we had fun its was my mothers 35th birthday looking so pretty it was her and my uncle they are twins so when i got to school there was a disagreement and then after practice i got a note saying they dont like me and stuff,so today i feel unpleasant,But know im thinking and i never let no body take my joy from me im strong and Independent,i always smile and keep my head up high. Thats how i feel today and i will tell you more later.

Censorship

Censorship is when people are banned things that they are band and that are what the FCC is trying to do. They are doing this because they think when the artists are trying o tell the people how they grew up and sing bad things. It seems like they don’t care about what the artists are telling in their songs.

I think that the FCC and the government should censor these types of thing because when they play these types of music or the radio and TV show Younger Kids are repeating these bad words that are coming out the artists’ mouths and as the younger kids started to listen to bad things more it start affected those kids life’s . I say that music and TV shows should not be raising your Children’s you should every once in a while watch over your kids so you don’t have to get tried of people coming knocking on your door and telling you how bad your kids are.

People disagree with me because they believe that it okay for younger kids to repeat those bad words and to learn from the artists mistakes and to be disrespectful to the older people. People for there kids to believe  they are little gangsters and they can be bad and its cool to go to jail and steal out the stores all because of music. I know its fun to listen to but it’s not for younger kids ears.

The FCC want to censor these things because it’s bad for the kid’s ears, because kids these days are this disrespectful to older people and it affected other people lives. I agree because get not good they need to censor TV shows like family guy, American dad, robot chicken, etc.

   Censorship is the attempt to restrict what type of music can be  purchased and played  or even distributed in your community . Censorship  is affected in your community or even in other places by the things  we watch on T.V and things we hear on the radio and what people say.The Federal Communication Commission controls what is censored. Things are censored because of explicit words  that does not need to be reached to young ears. Things that are uncensored is  because they have labels saying "Parental Consent" or "M" for mature.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
      My topic is censored music. Music is affected by the things we hear, speak, and also see. Censorship of music is when bad language is bleeped out or even pictures that are inappropriate is blurred out out of the picture. that is what censored pictures and music are.                                                                                  
       Music should be censored because , young people hear things that they do not need to hear. Music influences young people, for example,I listen to music and  like to sing and dance to it. For instants Chris Brown. I like what he sings, but after the The Rihanna incident when he 'hit her" it made me mad. Also he did not make any music for a while.  So, in my eyes I said "Why would he do something like that . This incident has to do with censored because if a young child would have seen that in their eyes , maybe boys would think that's the right thing to do.
        The opposing view believes that music or television should not  be censored. They think its right for bad language to be reached to the young ears. They do not care  about  the young people  and what people say. Another, one is they do not care about the young actions.one more would be they don't care what they are talking about and what they say about other people.
        I think everything should be censored because , young people are to sassy. They know how to use bad languages and will mimic anything you say or do. That's why I say care for young people. you do not  want them to be bad when they get older and you see them winding up in jail or in the streets because your parents did not raise you right. everyone should be cautious at all times ! Everything should be censored.
       well, my opinion  is everything should be censored. Also watch what your doing at all times. Be careful what you listen to and do ! I Pick CENSORED!

Charly Thompson Essay Of Central!!

        It is good that thing are central because if they wasn't people wouldn't know about things such as what is in the stores. It is (SOMETIMES) bad that things are central because the wrong things they advertise, such as when the advertise newport PLESURE. I don't think its pleasure because 2nd hand smoke cause kids to have asthma.

      It is also good that things are central because we wouldn't know what to be caution of. If we didn't know what to be caution of many people wouldn't be here and more killings would be happening. It would be happening because if there was a killer in your neightbor hood and your door is looked up and your child go outside you wouldnt know if your child is going to be coming back home that day. Thats why i think centrl is sometimes GOOD and BAD.

What Do I See When I Look Out In This Streets?

Color makes the world a better place because like when i see white people and black people i look at the difference between them.when i look at white i think myself why do white people get this and how did they get that, but when i look at black people i think like why don't we get the stuff that the white people get we worked hard too its like slaver all over again.

I say its slaver all over again because i look at black and see how we are living and then i look at white people and i see most of them happy and they get it easy. There are more blacks then whites living on the streets,getting pregnant,selling drugs dropping out of school and i see more white people going to college then blacks,that's because we struggle to get the things that we want and that we need. Most Whites be on movies but all we get is our own music video.That's how i see the world.

I think when Jonas learn about colors he was excited because when he saw Fiona hair change color he thought something was wrong with her and so he went to the giver to ask him about colors. i found a good quote "there were many colors and one of them is called red" i pick that one because Jonas didn't know what was red.

Warm Up : The World Is DANGEROUS !

It helps me by telling me how the world can be and how people can be. Some parts of the world are the best and some parts are bad and has a lot of  violence .W all have different thoughts because we all think differently. Other places are dangerous because of the people. The World Is DANGEROUS !




People always see the world in a different perspective, Everyone might say the world is lovely and its peaceful. NO, that's not true. I, Aneia perspective is the world is  a DANGEROUS place at times. Almost like the devil is running us around making us do things, also when people do things that is  wrong and it makes the worl an even unsafe place to be in.


The Giver : It was kind of about how Jonas figured out about color, and The Giver gave him kinds of thoughts and feelings about color in their world. It was interesting because I thought they had color in their world.

Charly WARM-UP ACTIVITY!

To me color is important but at the same time its not. Color makes me procieve in this world because it make the world fun. Color is also important because if it was black and white or just black it would be dark and it would be voilent.

Color isnt important because to me im so used of it being dark and because of the simple fact I like it dark I would love it if it was dark. Color is important and not important at the same time.

Jonas just started to get his color when one day he woke up and went to school. He had a good day at school he caught up with Fiona the love of his life.They road there bikes and were talking for a minute. Jonas really doesnt want to get away from Fiona but he had to because she had to go and he had to got to his TRANING.  That messed up his talk with fiona. Jonas knew that it was something different about Fiona  hair but he just couldnt pick it out. He told The Giver and The Giver told him that it was foinas hair color. Jonas didnt know what hair color was so he had another treatment and he now sees COLOR.

What I, Aneia Did In Class .!!!!!!!!

Sameness is the same. I'm affected by not  having a BIG deal on sameness, but I do on Uniqueness. I think people control sameness or GOD , because he teaches things we all should know and know how to feel. GOD teaches everything I have NO feelings becausenov  it does not really pop up in my head as much or should i say NEVER.

And NO, because everybody would mostly have the same thoughts and feelings!

What we read on chapter 11 is that Jonas' was still discovering the new exciting things he DID NOT KNOW ABOUT!!!! He did not know about Clouds, Chairs, Basketball, Movies, etc. He only had 3 books in his house!!! The Giver was telling Jonas'about a lot of things that he will discover because he is the Receiver of Memory!!!! Jonas later then discovered more and more things that The Giver talked about!!!

What charly did over the weekend

Jazmin: I really enjoy this book and also it is interesting and when I found out that something was hiding in the book it looked like it was "camoflage'. And it Jumped right out.

Aneia: I think the book is spectacle and also that it is like a spectrum, because it has a lot of emotions in the "The Giver".

Charly: I like the book because it really makes me think about things that I am grateful for and that I am lucky yo have in my life.
